Criminal Trials

Defence at trial, bail, quashing and appeals, including offences arising out of service and matrimonial disputes.

What we do

Typical matters

  • Regular and anticipatory bail
  • Defence at trial before Magistrates and Sessions Courts
  • Quashing of FIRs and complaints
  • Appeals, revisions and criminal writs
  • Economic offences and departmental prosecutions

The firm appears for the defence at trial before the courts of the Metropolitan Magistrates and the Sessions Courts in Delhi, and in bail, quashing and appellate proceedings before the Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court of India.

A good deal of this work is connected to the firm's other practices: prosecutions arising from a departmental matter, or complaints filed in the course of a matrimonial dispute, where the criminal case and the civil one have to be conducted together and consistently.

Principal statutes
